Sarah Olds Counselling and Pyschotherapy

ADHD & Autism Specialist Counsellor

Telephone, video, walk & talk

I'm an experienced UKCP and BACP Registered neuroaffirmative psychotherapist and a qualified ADHD coach.

I have many years' experience of providing focused time-limited counselling as well as longer term therapy in a confidential setting.

I offer longer consultations on a one-off basis as well as specialist ADHD and Autism counselling.

It can be tricky sifting through various websites to find the right therapist for you. I hope I will be able to answer some of your questions here, and if you would like to find out more about how I can help you please don't hesitate to get in touch to book an initial session.

Why do people have counselling?

Counselling and psychotherapy can help you to make changes to your life and to understand yourself and your experiences more fully.

The reasons why people choose this route are infinite. Here are just a few examples of the types of questions that bring people to counselling:

  • Why do I often feel sad, lonely or empty?

  • How can I make changes in my relationships with my partner or family?

  • I have everything I've always wanted. Why don't I feel happy?

  • When will I stop grieving and feel less sad?

  • Why does something that happened a long time ago still affect me today?

  • How can I stop myself from worrying all the time?

  • I don't think I like myself very much, how can I change this?

  • Why do I keep making new friends and then losing them or being left out?

How can I help?

You will notice that each of these questions focuses on changes that you might be seeking to make or feelings or patterns of behaviour you would like to understand.

This is the fundamental starting point for the way in which we would work together.

However trapped you may feel in your current circumstances, I believe that we always have some choices available to us.

I can help you to identify ways forward and support you in making the changes you might need to make to live your life more fully.
