Whether you're exploring an ADHD/Autism diagnosis, struggling to find direction in your life, to understand patterns of behaviour or to come to terms with a difficult situation, I offer a compassionate, practical approach to help you find balance, develop coping strategies, and move forward.

How can I help?
I offer a free 20-minute discovery call to discuss your aims for your sessions and to give you an opportunity to ask any questions.

I have experience of working with most of the types of situations that might lead people to seek support. However if I believe that I am not the right counsellor for you, I will signpost you to other colleagues in the local area.

I am mindful that most therapeutic approaches were originally based on neurotypical models for change and adapt these approaches for my neurodivergent clients to take account of different ways of interacting with and understanding the world.
It's important though for us to work with your preferences, which we will discuss at our initial meeting and review regularly alongside your therapeutic goals. I offer sessions which are longer or shorter than the standard 50-minutes if preferred and can adapt the therapeutic environment and media used for maximum comfort and efficacy.

Where appropriate I offer neurodivergent clients customised support sessions which integrate aspects of ADHD/Autism/AuDHD coaching into our counselling sessions.

I work holistically in the belief that lasting changes only occur when the different elements of your everyday functioning are balanced and you are living according to your own value-system, strengths and interests.

How I work
A Holistic approach
My core training is in person-centred psychotherapy. I work collaboratively and holistically, integrating within this framework a blend of additional approaches including Internal Family Systems, Compassion-focused therapy, mindfulness, CBT, DBT and somatic therapy techniques.
I frequently work with imagery, metaphor and dramatherapy techniques. However, there is no one size fits all and I will work with you to find and fine-tune the approach that works.

Depending on your preferences and processing style, I may offer resources between sessions so that you can actively continue to work on and make sense of the shifts that occur through the process of working things through in counselling or coaching sessions.

About me
I originally studied languages and worked as a translator in France. When I returned to the UK, I volunteered on a national support helpline and discovered a passion for helping people to navigate challenging situations and relationships. I decided to retrain as a psychotherapist and qualified with full UKCP psychotherapist accreditation in 2012.
During my training I developed a special interest in working with neurodivergent clients and trauma. I qualified as a GroOops Dyslexia Specialist counsellor in 2014 and an ADHD coach in 2023. If you would like to find out how a combined counselling/coaching approach could help you to understand yourself better and work towards your goals, why not book a free introductory appointment here:

My therapeutic experience includes working at a charity specialising in supporting survivors of sexual abuse and a bereavement service at a hospice. I also have substantial experience of counselling university staff and students and facilitating psychoeducational workshops.
I qualified as a clinical supervisor in 2023 and specialise in offering supervision to counsellors and mental health staff working in Higher Education and/or with neurodivergent clients.

As a registered member of the BACP, a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and a Senior Accredited NCPS Registrant, I abide by the UKCP Code of Ethics, the NCPS Code of Ethics and the BACP Ethical Framework .

My practice is covered by professional indemnity insurance. I regularly attend continuing professional development courses and clinical supervision.
